Last Pass

Ever have that problem where you have way too many passwords to remember but you know better than to write them down somewhere? Lastpass is the solution to your problem. It’s a browser plugin cloud based password vault which will allow you to safely store your pile of passwords in one convenient place and lock them with one master password.

Hostgator

Hostgator offers low-cost, easy to use web hosting. The best part, however, might be the reliability. There is minimal downtime for servers and issues are fixed rapidly, ensuring your site stays up and remains functional.

LeadPages

LeadPages is the easiest landing page marketing platform on the internet. hich allows you to easily and quickly implement landing page, opt-in, one page mini sites and other templates to your website. It works with many different platforms and is pretty robust in so far as integration is concerned. Best of all (for us anyway), it gave us a platform to create and market our landing designs to our users. Easy to use templates, LeadBoxes built in, integrated analytics, and even mobile ready, Leadpages has it all.

aWeber

aWeber is one of the top and most preferred marketing platforms. Quick and easy to set up, aWeber provides a great way to set up marketing programs and handle mailing lists. It includes autoresponder emails and features a great drag and drop interface. aWeber is one of our favorites and it is definitely popular for a reason.

Websites / Web Hosting

Bluehost

Bluehost is the preferred web hosting service a huge number of influential web users. With easy, 1-click, WordPress installation, a simple (but robust) interface, and very reasonable prices, Bluehost provides everything you could want in a hosting service without breaking the bank. Even better, they have some of the best customer service we have ever encountered.

Payment Systems / Merchant Accounts

Gumroad

One of the favorites because it’s so easy to set up. Gumroad is a digital product distribution system that will allow you to effortlessly upload your digital product and set up a payment form for taking sales. Make your product, integrate the payment and order forms onto your site, and that’s it. One of the fastest ways to set up a quick online shop you are likely to ever find. We love it.

Stripe

Stripe is one a quickly growing merchant account and payment gateway. Easy to set up, great customer service and documentation, and robust infrastructure make this a top choice.

Paypal

Paypal is ubiquitous. Nearly everyone already has it. Businesses benefit from the lack of merchant account or maintenance fees and the presence of a free business debit card. Easy to use, easy to start, and easy invoicing makes this platform great. It’s easy to see why everyone uses it.

Images / Photos / Graphics

Dollar Photo Club

$10 a month gets you 10 downloads. They have a great selection of high quality stock photos with that $10 a month fixed price. Very inexpensive bundle deal. However if you need more then 10 photos a month, then unfortunatly you will have to pay per photo I believe.

Flaticon.com

Our number 1 resource for finding just about any icon you want quickly and free. They also have a Photoshop plugin that will let you search and import vector icons into your document.

Video

Quickcast

Quickcast is one of the fastest and easiest Mac-based screen recording programs I’ve ever used. With just a simple click of an icon on the top dock, you can record your screen for up to 5 minutes. Your video will automatically be stored on the Quickcast servers and a link will be provided to you for easy sharing. Sporting web backups, easy sharing, and a simple interface, Quickcast is one of the best. The only downside is that it is Mac only.

Screen Flow

If you need to record or capture your screen for longer then 5 min and need to get more advanced, then we recommend Screen Flow for the Mac.

Hiring / Outsourcing

Elance

When we need professionals to handle jobs we can’t do ourselves due to time or expertise, we turn to Elance. Elance is an online outsourcing platform with a huge user base from all around the world with talent in many fields. It is escrow based, has great pricing, and usually offers a quick turnaround for projects. The only issues here are with customer service, which is sometimes lacking, and the quality of workers (which can be avoided if you are specific about exactly what you need and do your homework before hiring).

99Designs

99Designs is the grown up version of Elance for people who need design work done by professionals. All the vendors on here are high quality. You can run contests to help you select the best designer for your needs, get everything done from marketing packages to simple logos, and be guaranteed quality work. Even people like Tim Ferris turn to 99Designs, he had the entire design for 4 Hour Workweek done on the site.

Task Management / Project Development

Asana

If you have a good amount of projects that you work on be it yourself or with a team, sign up for asana.com. It’s free for up to 14 people people and works great! At first it might take getting use to a little but once you adapt to how it works (it has a bit of a learning curve), but pretty soon you will wonder how you lived without it.

Coggle

Design and brainstorming often requires something a little bit better than simply making bulleted lists of ideas. Connections have to be shown as well. That’s where mind maps come in. We have used several mind mapping programs, but prefer this one because of two things: its design and it’s free. The layout and design is very intuitive, pleasing to look at, and packs a serious punch.

Gliffy

Gliffy is an easy flowchart mapping platform. I like using Gliffy for mapping sales funnel flow charts, but you can really use this program to map any flow chart related diagrams. Most people who have done work with teams know the importance of having a good flowchart for standard procedures. Most people do not, however, have an easy way to make them. Gliffy provides that.
